On Augest 23rd, Chairman of CCPIT Foshan (Foshan Chamber of International Commerce) Ma Xiangyu led the delegation to attended CGCC World Chinese Entrepreneurs Summit - "Belt & Road and Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Bay Area Opportunities" in Hong Kong. The delegation consist of members of Foshan chamber of international commerce and staff of CCPIT.

Welcoming Address by the chairman of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Dr. Cai Boshen. Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Ms. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Mr. Gu Shengzu, director of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council Mr. Xu Yousheng and Special Commissioner of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The People's Republic Of China in The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Mr. Xie Feng attended the summit and made openning speeches. CEO of Nan Fung Group Mr. Antony Leung Kam Chung and lead researcher of China Center for International Economic Exchanges professor Zhang Yansheng were invited as guests to made speeches in the summit. All told there are more than 500 overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, relevant government officials, business elites and experts attended the summit, gathering together to explore new opportunities of development under the framework of "one belt and one road" and "Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macau Bay Area" . Experts and scholars exchanged and shared information from four aspects: exploring the new opportunities of "one belt and one road", promoting the construction of the " Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Bay area", the development of smart city, and driving force of innovation for the future.

Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Ms. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said, Hong Kong is an important node of "one belt and one road" and a bridge between inbroad and oversea. Hong Kong provided a professional service platform for mainland enterprises to go abroad and attracting overseas enterprises investment. Carrie stressed that Hongkong will make full use of the economic and trade offices, to provide a one-stop cooperation platform, to establish bridges among global Chinese entrepreneurs, and to inject new vitality into the development of global Chinese entrepreneurs.

The summit gave us a new inspiration and understanding to the new opportunities which were brought by the "one belt and one road" and the construction of Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Bay Area. The chairman of CCPIT (Foshan Chamber of International Commerce) Ms. Ma Xiangyu said that the development of "one belt and one road" and the Greater Bay Area are both opportunities and challenges for Foshan enterprises. CCPIT(Foshan  Chamber of International Commerce) will continue to work closely with the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan entrepreneurs and oversea Chinese entrepreneurs.
