Foshan Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC Foshan)

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Foshan Committee (CCPIT Foshan), established in Augest 1986, is a nongovernmental organization of foreign trade and economic cooperation composed of individuals, enterprises and organizations representing the economic and trade sectors in Foshan. In line with the requirement of CCPIT, CCPIT Foshan started to adopt a separate name- Foshan Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC Foshan)- in 1988 which is used simultaneously with CCPIT Foshan.

CCPIT Foshan(CCPIT Foshan) is a public service organization established with the approval of Foshan Government, and operates in line with law and government policies of the People's Republic of China, rules of CCPIT and International conventions with the aims to promote mutual understanding and friendship between people of Foshan and peoples of other nations around the world.

CCPIT Foshan(CCOIC Foshan) has 3 departments. Its main function is: to develop ties and liaisons with industrial and commercial circles and relevant organizations of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other countries and regions; to invite and receive individuals and delegations of business circles from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and conuntries and regions; to assist foreign counterparts in setting up representative office in Foshan; to sponsor or organize the participation of international economy and trade exhibitions and epxpositions, and undertake relevant coordination work; to sponsor or support international economy and technology exhibitions and trade fairs held in Foshan; to organize delegations for outbound business visit; to carry out economic cooperation and technological exchange; on the approval or with the authorization of CCPIT, to issue Certificate of Origin, International Commercial Certificates and the Force Majeure Certificate, to authenticate foreign- related commercial documents, to apply for consular authentication or invitation letter on agency basis, to issue ATA Carnets, to provide legal services such as legal consultancy and counseling on international trade and economic and technological cooperation and response to anti-dumping actions, business mediation to conciliate international commercial disputes, to organize companies to apply for an appeal or defend themselves for fair trade, to assist in economic and trade arbitration; to collect, edit, deliver and publish economic and trade information; to assist in credit investigation; to edit and publish paper and electronic publications; to provide services to enterprises, to reflect to the government the situation and opinions of business circle; to research related issues in the field of economy and trade so as to provide insight and vision to enterprises; to undertake matters entrusted by enterprises, to hold lectures, forum and other economic and trade activities to provide related business training; to supervise, coordinate and liaise the district branches of CCPIT in Foshan.

CCPIT Foshan, a branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT), and relying on the great network of CCPIT at home and abroad, has done considerable fruitful work in external intercourse as well as economic and trade promotion for Foshan, and has established extensive connections with industrial and commercial circles in other countries and regions. It has about 800 member companies and organizations.

With the development of the global economic integration, CCPIT Foshan will aim at high and pursue excellence to serve fot the upgrading of ecic competitiveness of Foshan and happiness of Foshan people.
